When do I need to book my makeup artist?

You may need to book in advance, as weddings can see a surge in the summer months, makeup artists will be high in demand therefore reserving a slot will be important.

Depending on whether you will want to conduct a trial makeup day, you may want to book at least 2-3 months prior to the wedding. This gives you and your artist enough time to discuss colours and themes.

When attending a trial, it’s important to have your hair in the same colour you’re intending to have on your wedding day. This also applies if you are planning to wear a fake tan. Therefore, your artist can adjust your foundations to match. Zara’s top tip would also be to have your eyebrows done before the trial. Your brows frame your face/ look and will alter your appearance dramatically.
